Kuthiraivali Pongal (Barnyard Millet Pongal) in Tamil

Ingredients
- 1 pack Srivaraha Kuthiraivali (Barnyard Millet) Pongal Mix
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tbsp Cashewnut
Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup of Barnyard Millet Pongal Mix with 3 cups of water.
- Add a pinch of turmeric powder and salt to taste. Stir well.
- Close the lid and cook on medium heat for 5-10 minutes, or until you hear 3 whistles.
- In a small pan, heat 1-2 teaspoons of ghee or oil. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of crushed black pepper, a few curry leaves, and 1 tablespoon of cashews (optional).
- Sauté until the cumin crackles and the cashews are golden. Pour this tempering over the cooked Pongal and mix.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
